Re: input+Shift locking movement into 45 Degree increments
this is driving me nuts
i can't do a quick shift&drag to reposition along the y-axis because TVP thinks shifting along a 45 degrees axis is much better
45deg needs to go!!!!!

Re: input+Shift locking movement into 45 Degree increments
Again today...
i tried to do some spacing along a horizontal axis, just using SHIFT and a mouse, but despite me moving the mouse very delibertately straight, the object very often starts moving along a 45 degree angle!?
why is 45 DEG there...?
Can anyone explain why its necessary to have this option to slide in a 45 DEG direction under the shift key?!
please remove this.

Re: input+Shift locking movement into 45 Degree increments
Hello Peter, apparently this flew under the radar...I must admit I never got why this limitation exists. I will bump the issue for the devs.
Also, you can make a straight line at any angle using SHIFT + CTRL but I reckon that the majority of other drawing software do this with just SHIFT so in your opinion, inverting these 2 shortcuts would be the more logical decision, correct?

Re: input+Shift locking movement into 45 Degree increments
Hi Dean,
Ah great, thanks for picking this up!
I'm aware of the SHIFT+CTRL option. But what do you mean with inverting shortcuts?
I am happy with the SHIFT short-cut that should not change.
i just wish the 45 degree direction gets removed from it.
Its a random angle and in the rare case you really do need it, there is always the guideline tool.
Whereas the horizontal and vertical directions are used very regularly.
Most of my frustration with that 45° SHIFT angle is in conjunction with the panning tool.
if f.i. i only want to adjust the spacing of my animation on the horizontal axis i use the panning tool with SHIFT so the element i am adjusting only moves horizontally. But half the time the element starts veering off at 45° and i have to start over. Its worse with a wacom.
