Re: Tool Preview

I've done a screencast to show precisely my problem. This happens with or without drawing smooth activated . I've tried on TVP standard 8.6.4 on winXP, with the exact same tool, it doesn't happen. Also for the temp directory, I know the option in "Preference" but I can't use it: I can't erase/write ...

Tool Preview

I've noticed the tool preview under the cursor stay "stuck" near the end of any stroke for barely half a second, before to go back under the cursor.. This is light but a bit annoying. I know I can set the tool preview off, but there's some drawing tool that are much more convenient to use with it ac...

Re: Draw lag with best smooth

Yes this is exactly the brush I'm talking about, thank you Sewie (by the way the "broken lines" bug your thread was about is corrected here). The Lag appears on relative fast drawing, only with best smooth option (so I use medium smooth instead for now it works better). Yes, this TVP64bit is beta as...

Draw lag with best smooth

A few days ago I've switched from TVP32bit on Karmic to TVP64bit on Lucid RC. Everything seems to work as before, except I've noticed an awfull lag when drawing with custom brushes with Smooth set to Best. A good example to reproduce the bug is Sewie's caligraphie tool, I can't find where he posted ...

Re: lame lemec's drawings!

Woooow! "Imperfect" but pretty and very realistic already, good work.

(and your Warp artwork above is marvelous, very good to use as wallpaper, and the links in the post are very interesting, thank you  )

Re: casual cursor offset

Hi, I've just noticed that with Compiz effects activated it solves the problem (At least I can't reproduce the bug by hiding my deskbar while TVPaint window is set to fullscreen, which produced the bug systematically without compiz) ! I used to set Compiz off because it was known (at a time, maybe n...

Re: hidden Files

Yes I know I can use the native file manager, which is nice but then it doesn't show thumbnail previews for tvpaint project files (and beside this ".problem" I like the TVPaint file manager ! ^^ )

hidden Files

Please don't show Hidden files/folders in TVPaint files manager (or better make a tcheck-box to hide or reveal them).
There are many hidden folders with softwares settings in Ubuntu Home folder so it's anoying to see them when searching for some files stored there.

Re: video import/export

Yes Patrice I've played the exported file in the default player as with vlc it is good. Only the FFmpeg import of this ogg Theora is buggy. Note: I only exported Video (no audio), so I can't say yet if the plugin export audio right, but at least video is nicely rendered and compressed (tried high an...

video import/export

The export animation to .ogg, works nice.
But when I try to import back this .ogg video in TVP it result a flashy mashed pixel !

Otherwise the loader handle right .avi with xvid video. I'll do some more test with other video formats.

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw

Maybe another good way to solve this would be an option to set the smooth value relative to the cursor speed (with a customisable curve), so that if the smooth value is set to 20 (for example), the line is smoothed at 20 when drawing/moving fast then the value reduce progressively to reach 0 when st...

Audio Bug report

I've tried to import audio (with a small .wav sample as with a .ogm video/Vorbis audio ), and here is what I got: -when playing right after import I have the sound, crappy sound but I hear it. -Then when I scrub there's no audio, and in the system audio settings I've many "TVPaint" entries in the "A...

Re: a new concept for a drawing mode

I don't have used Animanatee a lot yet, since it's a very limited application compared to TVP, of course. But the few times I've used it I found this auto-refresh play very useful, mostly because the onionskin there is very basic (only 1frame before and after, with the same grey level..). So in TVPa...

Simple and efficient, nice work.
I like how you played with sounds/animation, very poetic (and fun  ) .

Thanks for sharing your work!
