Re: TVP help for demo users!

Perhaps a couple keyboard layouts for people used to other programs like photoshop. That was my biggest hurdle. After I got the keys changed to something I was used to, everything else was pretty easy.

Re: Transform selection?

Ok now I get it with the brush cutting.

It was not immidiately obvious, but now that I got a few shortcuts setup to "brush free resize" and "brush rotate" I can see how to use it as a free transform selection tool.

Re: Closing a palette with a button/command?

I meant close as in remove from screen, but collapse could be usefull to. For example you could create a group of palettes and have a shortcut that collapse and open the whole group. The reason I want to use toolbars that can be closed via a script command, is that I can position them in the middle ...

Re: Quick questions from new user

Yeah I read about that, rocknroll something I think it's called. There was also some perspective stuff that in that I liked because I hate drawing perspective lines all the time. It was quite reasonably priced so I might get that one along with the ppallette that looks awesome to.

Re: Closing a palette with a button/command?

Yeah I looked at the rooms, but I'm starting out with the stardard version which is not in there as far as I can see from the comparison chart. Gonna have to wait a couple months to upgrade to pro.

As far as I can tell George scripting is available in the standard version right?

Re: Closing a palette with a button/command?

That would be great. It could be quite a usefull little addition. I like to keep the workspace uncluttered, but I also tend to create a lot of custom stuff if a program allows that, so I end up with a mess of palettes and brushes. With a simple close current palette/toolbar script command, I could s...

Re: Transform selection?

So I'll have to cut a brush and stamp with it? I'll see if I can wrap my head around that. I useually jump my selection to a new layer and then control+t in PS and then use "warp/skew/rotate/perspective" so I can use the little transform handles to adjust the transform perfectly in place. Seems a li...

Transform selection?

Is there a way to select a part of the current layer and transform/rotate/skew etc.. only the selected part? I do this all the time in painter/Ps to adjust stuff that needs a small tweak in proportions, but I can't find a way to do it in TVPaint. I tried making a selection and then use the warp/pann...

Closing a palette with a button/command?

I'm trying to create a sort of a menu system with custom palettes. I have one major palette with buttons to open sub palettes like an erasors palette, various brush palettes etc.. I'd like to close the sub palette when I pick a tool from it, so once I pick a tool I'm back to only having the main pal...

Re: Quick questions from new user

Oh the cross was a bug? I actually liked that I thought it was some kind of guide system like smart guides in PS, oh well no biggie.

I'm still chewing my way though the manual and playing around with everything. Comming from years of photoshop and painter I feel a bit like a fish out of water :D

Quick questions from new user

I discovered TVPaint from a couple youtube videos and I saw a couple of features that I can't locate so maybe someone here could help find them. There was a full screen crosshair drawing cursor, like the one you have when you draw squares and circle shapes, but it was on when drawing normally. It al...
