Re: KB shortcut question

You can use CutBrush-Mode "Cut" as default.
1.Then cut-out your drawing-parts or whatever with that CutBrush-Mode.
2. Press ctrl-Z
3. Your cut-out as a CutBrush is still available, and your original drawing is present again. So actual you made a CutBrush Mode "Copy"

Re: Remove "OSX styled" buttons

I changed my GUI to something darker and less 3d-touch. So the fruit-bonbon-style of OSX should not be in the forefront of all.

You can change your GUI with Shift-D / Interface.

Re: Stills from TVPaint

Ctrl-Shift-E
As Single Image or Sequence ( eg to choose later one of them for the Portfolio)

Format png ( I think it is better to have a more quality, non-jpg format like eg Png, tga, tiff )
Mode RGB or Mode RGBA

For screenshots, use a software tool or the default shortcuts depending on your OS

Re: [WIP] Seafahrer

Thank you very much. That's what a friend wrote to me about the "seafahrer": (translated from German:) "...On one side because of their composition technique they are quiet, as if the seamen are ponderous rowing boats or heavy sailing vessels in calm waters. But looking closer they are scarred by li...

Re: copy & paste issues...

Unfortunately she/he has jpg images. To convert them to png/tga and to give them an additional alpha channel requires some more steps of work. It comes down to do it by hand one by one or to record an photoshop action - or to do keying in one NLE - than you are - eg in TVP. On a first attempt I woul...

Re: copy & paste issues...

If they are selection-paths you can clear them in the Tool Settings-Panel. I wonder about your workflow. I think the easiest way would be: 1. Shift-L (Open)...( into an existing project ) 2. select one of your horse.jpg - image sequence -> now at the Import Panel you should see one of your horses, a...

Recently I saw a "flowing in realtime" digital-watercolor technique done with the latest Painter version:

Well, it looks like some SFX-post effect applied.

Re: Automated inbetweening

There are a few out for this by now. It all comes back to 2D-Mapping on 3D-primitives. One we had here is CrazyTalk, a few dollar app. It also features gesture control, the setup (mapping) is done in a few seconds because all morphings and movements are predefined and can be adjust with sliders of a...

To be honest, I am not.

Didn't it sound that impatient way from the beginning ?

Anyway, there is nothing to say against of experimenting with automatization and to have a look at this from the more technical side. But better to face the results and to fight out in the open.

Re: how to make the background "run"?

You can use Keyframer for moving and animating backgrounds.
And as an alternative, you can create a project with camera; to have a "fixed" background and a "moving camera and runner" which may look better.

Re: [WIP] Ruth ebook

Yes, true, this place could be more than for technical support or for TVP-marketing. It was always a joy for me to see other's WIPs, to look at unfinished clips of professionals like you, from which one could learn. Also it was interesting to see progress and evolvement. IMO, it feels here now clums...
