Re: Transparency

This is for TVPaint 10.5.7 32bits, exporting to Quicktime MOV - If you don't have the Apple ProRes codecs installed on your computer then you can use the Animation codec. Animation codec or Apple ProRes codecs will export a MOV with transparency. I would usually use Apple ProRes 4444 for best qualit...

You can use the fire effect to set the work done.
Could you elaborate on what you mean ? Are you referring to this fire brush in the TVPaint Tools --
TVPaint_Fire_Brush.jpg
What do you use it for ?

Re: TVPaint start error message - Wibu code not found

I'm getting an error message today when I try to start TVPaint. How can I fix this ? David, did you try to hijack TVPaint ??? https://www.wibu.com/us/support/faq/faq/category/codemeter-hardware-troubleshooting.html#faq-56 I don't clearly understand if it's anything I did (accidentally) on my...

(problem has been solved btw)
Yes, Thierry helped me sort out the problem via email. I still have no idea what happened , but Thierry had to force rehost my licenses , then I ran a terminal command he gave me, and that fixed the problem.

Re: Strange side files generated.

Those are back-up files of previously saved versions. If you don't want them then change Multi Backup in Preferences to 0.

See here in the User Manual: https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... ences-save

Re: The "Dain App That Can Convert 24 FPS Video into 60 FPS Video" Something Like That. <-Top Priority on the List, Not

While I not agree with every aspect in this video he got some interesting points against converting animation from 24 to 60 fps https://youtu.be/_KRb_qV9P4g Yes, I'm not a fan of this "rant" style of presentation , but he does demonstrate the problem of "converting" (interpolating) animation at 24 ...

Re: Random number files backing up in project folder?

Hey David!! Nice to see you on here, I remember helping you out with AJ Hogg a while back :) But that makes total sense, I had my backup settings set to 2! Good to know that you can still remove the string and use the file, maybe I should dump them in some other spot just in case. Thanks for the he...

Re: Random number files backing up in project folder?

Hiya! I recently built a new computer and I've been noticing that TV Paint will save out these additional number files to my project folder? For instance, my project folder will look like this: sheriff_peter_test_v001.tvpp sheriff_peter_test_v001.tvpp.20210513.013403 sheriff_peter_test_v001.tvpp.20...

Re: drawing on layer when "Stencil" is "on"

Thanks for your reaction! I find it a really, really strange decision... It costs me a LOT more time now disable/enabling the layer stencil over and over again... And clicking away this annoying pop up. Note: the link in your post didn't wok for me. It says: "you are not authorised to read this for...

Re: Tooltips obscured by mouse pointer

It seems to be an issue in every application. If the cursor arrow is set to the larger size , then it will partially obscure the tool tip pop-up. Here is Autodesk Sketchbook , with the larger cursor on the left , normal size cursor on the right. Of the various applications I use , Sketchbook has the...

Re: How to make it Play at a specific point

How do I make it play at a specific frame? It always starts all the way over at frame 1. I want it to start playing at frame 157. How do I make it do that? Set the Mark-In point where you want it to start playing at frame 157. In the screenshot below it shows Mark-In point set at frame 17 and Mark-...

Re: Tooltips obscured by mouse pointer

The cursor arrow will do that if you have the cursor size set to larger than what Apple deems as "Normal" size in System Preferences > Accessibility > Display. Here is the cursor set to Normal size: Cursor_Normal_Size.jpeg Here it is set about half-way between Normal size and Large size: Cursor_half...
