A friend who I shared the link with was looking through the documentation about EBSynth on GitHub and noticed this:

Re: EBsynth a powerfull texturising (rotoscope)tool
To show I'm not entirely negative about the potential of this tool, here's an example of animation colorized and texturized with EBSynth that looks good to me. https://twitter.com/Rafikisland/status/1202327515689299968 Blender Grease Pencil for the animation + one Colored Keyframe + EBSynth by "Rafi...

Re: EBsynth a powerfull texturising (rotoscope)tool
About posters: Yes, they're ugly, but I think they can be excused because they have to fight for attention amongst all other movie posters done in day-glo neon. Oh, sorry about that ... I deleted the ugly marketing art examples in my previous post, because I felt like I was going too far astray fro...

Re: EBsynth a powerfull texturising (rotoscope)tool
I think part of the problem I'm having with most of these examples is that they are parasitic , by appropriating someone else's animation (which was already art directed and colored in a specific , intentional way) and altering it with no consideration for the integrity of the original art or the ar...

Re: How to copy and paste properly?
Hi, This might seem a ridiculous question, but I couldn't solve it. I want to copy and paste a drawing onto another existing frame, but when I paste it, it doesn't get pasted on the existing frame, but rather on a new separate frame. How do I paste in on the frame I want? Thanks :) See: https://www...

Import or Convert Photoshop Brushes (.ABR) to TVPaint
This has been discussed previously, such as in this thread from 2016 , but I think it is time to bring up this topic again , so I am posting this now as a new Feature & Improvement Request , because I see that other applications such as Clip Studio Paint , ProCreate, and Krita have made it possible ...

Re: Can I import photoshop brushes?
UPDATE: because this is such an old topic (from 2016) I have made a new topic in the Feature & Improvement Requests forum. --------- Yes, we should record a tutorial. Actually, we need 2 things to recreate a Photoshop brush : - the original stamp / pattern - an example of how it looks like when you ...

Re: EBsynth a powerfull texturising (rotoscope)tool
I see much potential in this software for 2d animation. It's very similar to the tool used for texturing in the film Klaus. This could be used with not just TVPaint, but also Flash, Toon Boom, Opentoonz, etc. Here's an example of it being used for classic animation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Weird right-click eraser is active while stylus pen in air
What do you use the right click for ? Wacom Pen button set for Right Click allows for hovering over any tool or layers on the timeline and by pressing the Wacom Pen button the menu options appear. Right Click with the mouse will do the same. Screen Shot 2021-01-19 at 9.00.21 AM.jpg When drawing wit...

Re: flip project horizontaly
Is there a way to flip all the layers horizontaly at the same time without merging? As many animators I like to check my animation constantly by flipping (mirror). I checked the modify project-panel and saw that there was a possibility to rotate the project, but not to flip it. What you are looking...

Re: Export from Tv-Paint to After Effects fails
Great that you managed to find a solution :) Yes, that is the workaround which has made the JSON import script usable for some time now (two years?) , but the workaround is not well known because it is not mentioned in the User Manual or in the video tutorial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YayOs...

Re: Export from Tv-Paint to After Effects fails
I updated to Adobe After Effects 2020, version 17.6.0 (Build 46) . The JSON import script appears to work as expected , except that it must be run from the DEFAULT AE workspace . Then after the import is completed , you can switch to using a different AE workspace. You might want to insert a note in...

Re: Export from Tv-Paint to After Effects fails
Ok. Then I can confirm that code version CC 2019 (AE version 16.1.3) works in Mac OS Sierra (my previous OS) and Mac OS Mojave (my current OS), with the caveat that you do the import using the JSON script in the Default workspace mode in AE. (after importing you may switch to any workspace mode you ...
