Re: Accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut that turned all of the thumbnails black

..and if so, you just need to hit Shift B again to get a transparent background, and yet again to get back to your white background colour, one should maybe add.

Re: I really wish animation would be treated the same as live action in the US

I agree with Paul. Also, while I might have agreed with your wish some time ago, the current situation of live action movies doesn't really call for envy, I think. My perception of US cinema is probably a bit distorted, since I guess that about as few independent American films make it to theatrical...

Re: problems with sound

If you mean by 1. that you copy the image layer you get after importing a video file with sound into one project and the paste said image layer into another project, you lose the sound track because image and sound are no longer connected once imported into TVPaint. If there's a way to copy sound fr...

Re: Keyboard Shortcut

I'm on mac where the right click keyboard shortcut is to hold down ctrl, whereas on windows it's hold down shift and press F10 or something of the sort- too long ago to be sure of that, sorry. I'm pretty sure though that your Wacom pen's buttons can have a right click function assigned to it and I'm...

Re: Trouble applying FX stack to CTG layer

You might have to make your CTG layer an animation layer before effects can be applied. As long as it's a CTG layer, it relates to the line art of another layer, and in the same line that you cannot use any tools other than the squiggle and erase on it, you probably cannot use effects, actually it's...

Re: Double sound playing

Maybe you loaded a sound track into the project tab when you only want it in the clip tab. You can check by clicking on the sound wave icon in your project tab and delete what you find there. I'm only guessing, but I just had a double soundtrack and removing one from the project tab fixed it.

Re: RGB filters for light table

What you can do in the meantime is set your lightbox from "color" to "image color" mode - at least you'll be able to distinct the blue from the red lines, in case you don't know that already. I can imagine your suggestion to be useful, but I wonder if extra buttons on the light box panel won't eat u...

Re: EDIT COLORS palette CTG LAYER disappear

Yes, but as I said: after editing the colors of your panel, check the "use these colors only " box in your CTG color panel. Then it will reappear any time you get back to your CTG layer. In your screenshot, that very box is ticked off, so I guess that's why your panel doesn't reappear after changing...

Re: EDIT COLORS palette CTG LAYER disappear

Just check the "use these colors only" box of the CTG layer's palette once you're happy with. You can then change between layers, and the palette will automatically change matching your layer. When you want to edit the palette of your CTG layer, untick it again and back on when you're done. That sho...

spot colour channel equivalent?

I'm preparing some pages to be printed with risoprint, and the printer recommended the use of spot colour channels in Photoshop. I want to work with TVPaint, however. I don't assume there is such a thing as an equivalent to spot colour channels in TVPaint, is there? I've only briefly looked into it ...

Re: Export resolution issue

Part two of this question: Given that I have scenes of varying resolution depending on the character detail and how tight I want the field, how can I accurately output 1:1 resolution when the camera is not full frame, but say, cropped in a little? That is, a project which is 3000 pixels wide but co...

Re: auto paint

Well, I guess you need a little patience to get a feeling for the use of squiggles, as you do with every drawing or painting tool. Due to the complexity of the calculations it becomes a matter of gut feeling rather than conscious control, at least to me it did, and therefore an invitation to not mar...
