Current field
Re: Current field
No, never. It's to scroll through frames, right?
Re: Current field
The double arrows are used to scroll through the timeline (I use them sometimes)
The empty field allows you to go directly to the chosen frame.
Actually, I've never used the "Current field" in 7 years and I was wandering if this feature is really necessary.

Re: Current field
Please don't get rid of it!
I use it all day long because I can reach it with my pen's tip, while the rest of the layer is on my monitor to the right. If you want to do anything with it, please move it over to the left so that the pen can draw out longer stretches to the right; THAT would be just wonderful. If you do that for me, I'll never say a grumpy word about a cute film made in TVP, I promise!

Re: Current field
But then people with a single monitor will complain they can't move to the left...
We'll need to find a middle point (pun intended :)

Re: Current field
In that case I'll grump only selective cases of the cuteness syndrome.

Re: Current field
Don't forget I'm not talking about the double arrows, but about the empty fields

Re: Current field
But don't they go together? I know that there is a bit of redundancy here, nevertheless, it is at times practical to set your cursor to an exact frame count displayed right next to the arrows you are moving. Having said that, I don't want to stand in the way of some planned feature that would be of more importance to more people.

I never used it in my life - actually I didn't even notice it exists

iMac, Os 10.12.6, Cintiq 22", TVP Std 11.0.8
Re: Current field
Never used it either. I find it easier to just find the frame I want in the time line.
Re: Current field
I like it. Some of my projects tend to get very long, and manual scrolling to the end or some later frame is a PITA.

Thank you for your comments

Re: Current field
Would it be possible to move the field to the bottom (since there's already a "current frame" info)?

Re: Current field
That's an interesting interface color scheme you have there, Jerome. Can you share it with us?
