The Do It Yourself Animation Show (BBC 1974)

Postby BenEcosse » Sun Nov 27, 2011 3:15 am

Some kind soul has posted ep2-ep5 of an BBC tv series about creating animation. It was first broadcast in 1974 in the uk so it looks very retro. A young Richard Williams and Terry Gilliam are both featured and give demos of their technique and work.
At first I thought it was made for kids but it seems that it was more an educational show for adults....the sort of show only the BBC would make! Interesting all the same. :D

Oh that's cool. I'd seen the Terry Gilliam bit before but not the Dick Williams one. Thanks!

If I want to be an animator, do I have to grow a handlebar mustache?

What? You don't already have one ? :)
