I also recorded the complete session of the rough animation process on the scene n°3: (part 1/3)

Since the proportions in the rough (last video) were quite off, I had to resize many things, specially the heads.
I used the "behind" brush option to draw blue lines for a quick tie-down and green lines as reference for the initial position of the hair.
Like that I managed to do everything on the same layer wich was pretty handy. ^_^
I started by filling the color layer with red, then I used the bucket tool with "erase" option to clear everything around the character. Like that I'm sure there's no hole under the lines.
After that, I locked transparency on that layer and applied the color of the pants on the whole thing (that's one color I won't have to worry about). The rest is just basic coloring with bucked and brush (for the small or narrow parts).
From 0:58 I add a shadow layer to give some volume.
At 1:51 I start to work on the background, using the Keyframer tool to move the seperated elements along a trajectory.
I also used a script to create the speedlines with a mask so it renders only on the areas I want.
Well, that's all for that scene.
It miss few little things like the FX refining but most of the process is there.
Thanks !
I always wanted to try to animate this kind of stylish duel so when Lunchkunn (creator of the game) asked me I gladly accepted.
Specially that I'm a fan of Runshin's designs.
