Undo Crop

Postby chertar » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:19 pm

I managed to accidentally crop my project and there was no going back. Is there a way to make crops undoable. Or at least, give a warning message that the action cannot be undone! It's really dangerous.

Under Preferences/General... set AutoBackup to more than one and you'll always have the last saved version to fall back on.

After you applied the crop function you normally get a new project automatically - the croped project. The original project is still there and you can use it again.

yeap, no need to undo a crop, just close the cropped project to go back to the original one.

Excellent. Thank you! I didn't realized it was creating a new project. I also added auto-backup. Just in case. Thanks for the tip.

I've been using auto backup since it was first released (a couple of months ago) and it has saved me already many, many hours of time. I use the entire count, 99 saves, because I save often. Since the backup saves use a different icon it is very easy to delete all 99 backups once the project is completed. What happens to me most is that I change directions in my projects as my work progresses and several days later I regret that I "lost" certain layers or just a sequence of drawings that I would like to bring back again and it's such a relief to know that nothing has been lost.
