Re: How to make a living with 2D

When you talk about Goya's sketches it makes me think of Feliks Toposki and Honore Daumier. The two feature films I saw at Annecy: Moug Réalisation : Ahmed NOUR Pays : Égypte, Maroc http://www.annecy.org/a-propos/archives/2014/selection-officielle/fiche-film:film-20140775 And Truth Has Fallen Réalis...

Re: How to make a living with 2D

About those documentaries, this year in Annecy there was a noticeable ammount of them. The interesting thing I noticed is that I felt more animation in some of the films would have actually been better then live action footage. It makes things clearer and simplifies the unecessary details of live ac...

Re: request:please add ftp function in The Share manager

Here is a better solution then messenger or skype, with this you can share HUGE files very easily: http://www.getsync.com/

The only down side is that you need to have the software on at both ends but its free.

Re: How to make a living with 2D

The problem I see with this kind of fare is that I can't imagine who would want to pay for this. By that I mean, what demographics? Isn't this type of entertainment all over the internet for free already? To use my paradigm of books, this is like a leaflet; a handout on the street, compared to brow...

Re: How to make a living with 2D

About the topic: How to make a living in 2D. I am really not sure if there is an audience willing to pay (little fees) for animated stuff away from Simons's Cat or typical comedy for the masses. (I don't want to jugde about jokes here and Simon's Cat is really funny and touches everybody's heart.) ...

Re: How to make a living with 2D

I took the liberty to move this topic here. I think it is a mistake to put oneself into competition with mass taste studios on TV or movie house venues, because it is not necessary anymore with the possibilities online programming is gaining. For this new venue it has become an advantage to cater t...

Re: hierarchy ability

I agree that this thread should be moved to another place. I want to give my response both to Sewie's reply and momo's but know that it will lead to topic drift so will remain silent for the moment. here the new thread that Paul created : "How to make a living in 2D" http://www.tvpaint.com/forum/vi...

Re: hierarchy ability

I dont think this is condescending at all but the reality is that every single studio (except in Japan but even there a lot of studios are looking into flash or toonboom) does cut out animation for TV production. Here in Korea it is the same thing. The 2D studio system is just not up to the same spe...

Re: TVPaint Animation 11 : ask all your questions here !

Ah! This is really true big is relative... My biggest files was 30 MB  but is only 30 frames long with one layer and no color only pencil( I used the superb tilt pencil made by some genius from the forum but i forgot whom) Just to see what happens I copied and past the same drawing over 720fra...

hierarchy ability

This is one feature I have been thinking about for a while: the ability to do some kind of cut out animation (which is already almost possible with clips). This is complicated to explain so bear with me. The ability to create a hierarchy between clips/animated brushes/layers. This would give use the...

Re: TVPaint Animation 11 : ask all your questions here !

That might sound like a strange question but:

Are the files size still as big in TVP11?

The files in TVP10 get really quickly enourmous when working in 1920x1080.

motion keyframer render on 2s [solved]

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to apply the FX frames on 2s (on every other frame, instead of on every frame). I just want all my animation to be the same "fluidity" so a movement on 1s would stand out. Right now I am manually deleting every other frame. Or maybe there is a way to select m...

motion keyframer handles

Hello, I love the motion keyframer but I find it a little bit slow to adjust all the parameters for the desired motion through the current input number system. Right now it is possible only to drag and frame by directly clicking on it and moving it to the new position. It would be really great to ha...
