Re: Custom brush info needed

Hi Fabrice,

Is it in any ways possible to limit the jitter to one axis only? This way the line could be randomized only along the lenght of the brush stroke, and the jitter wouldn't affect the width.

Re: Custom brush info needed

Hey Fabrice, I attached the base structure as a project. Here is a pic from the erase shape. Screen Shot 2017-09-01 at 15.12.45.png I used this shape ( b8_erase) to erase from the brushshape. then I eroded the brush from 0.7 to 3 if I remember correct. Thanks a lot, hope you find the right combo! Fa...

Re: Custom brush info needed

Ok, good to hear that I'm reaching the limits :D It just feels that there might be something I just don't know, but I'm glad to hear you're facing the same problems. (and also glad it's not a problem in my communication, because it could very well be. If I'm giving out too much information, or too m...

Re: Custom brush info needed

Thank you both, nice brushes! Marcus, I've made this kind of similar techniqued brushes, and they can really create a nice feeling towards a mezzotint. Elodie, this brush didn't do the trick for me. The idea of the brush was to not rotate the angle, so this messes up my idea :) Let's see if I can ma...

Re: Custom brush info needed

Thanks for the info Elodie! Ok, so there are different engines behind all the family of brushes. Understood. But as the custom brush already has the possibility to change f.ex the size with pressure, I don't see the reason why changing the aspect (ratio) with pressure doesn't exist. (And by the way,...

Custom brush info needed

Hi all, I've been fiddling intensively with brushes, and there are some things I still don't understand. I'm hoping to get some more info. 1. Why can't I control Aspect on my custom brush? Or light, that is included in the Oil Brush? (I have no need for that, but I'm just trying to figure this out. ...

Re: Filled stroke to preserve

Yes, exactly something like this :)

Or 'erase outside' for the filled stroke tools. Then there is no need to press delete and I guess that would make it possible to repeat the command for multiple frames.

Re: Filled stroke to preserve

Thanks for your input! This much I also figured out, maybe it's the easiest way to use this kind of combination. I think in toonz (when it wasn't opentoonz) there was this mode and I found it very intuitive and quick to use. But maybe it's just me.. I'll have to see if I can figure out something else.

Filled stroke to erase outside

At the moment I'm using filled stroke in erase mode to quickly erase large areas. I'm curious, instead of erasing, is there a way to "preserve" selected area, and delete everything that is not inside the selected area? I know I could use selection: free hand > invert > then delete, but that's not ve...

Re: Request: Please fix this forum's Title Tag!!

I don't know what happened under the hood, but now I seem to find tvpaint related questions through google silly easily. If it's this title tag thing, thanks for doing this!

Re: project disappears when saving

Ok, I found out that I had the multi-backup active. While saving that, TVP hides the real project. I don't know for what reason. Maybe this is old news and the new version of TVP is fixed with these things, but the multi-back up seems to also create non working files on 10.5.7. Sorry for the hassle,...

project disappears when saving

Hi all, I'm having a trouble with disappearing files when saving them. I'm now a bit cautious, so I haven't been doing a lot of testing, but the case seems to be this: I have a project v3. If I save it, cmd+s, tvp seems to override the project with a different, blank looking file which cannot be ope...

Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint

I made a small leader for the Fredrikstad animation festival 2014, mostly TVP.

Great project, took almost 3 weeks to pull out this juice from a lot of ideas. It's good to have other people around you to set you straight!

Re: Cintiq pen stops working when returning to TVPaint

This may be a lead? I was using yesterday a zoom h1 with audition. Today, I was just testing what might've caused this behavior and everything was working fine. Until I plugged in the zoom to work as an usb-microphone. Then when I switched back to tvp, it was unresponsive. Something similar with you?
