Re: Crashing on Save

I have something to add to this, although only slightly related but it might be worth a try... I've found if I close TVP with the universal keyboard shortcut (command + Q) it'll crash, but if I use the TVP keyboard shortcut (shift + Q) It doesn't crash. My question is does it crash with save or save...

Re: Another Brush Request

You might want to make your brush size similar to the size you'll be drawing with it. Scaling a brush too far from it's origin will start getting laggy.

Re: Camera movements

There's an introduction here - https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... a-movement

It seems pretty basic at first but once you master the graph you can do pretty much anything in it. It feels a bit like AE in the 90s, but you can still do a lot.

Re: Introduction to a Random OpticalFlowDeform FX

It works pretty well. I did a grid 150 x 100. It didn't bog down my computer at all. It's a recent 13" MacBook Pro.
Got a pretty good boil, quicker than generating a noise layer and then distortion map.
I'm going to try and max out the grid.

Re: Export looped clip

I use this all the time for looping, it's not what you're asking for but it's useful to know about so you don't have to slip layers to have things looping and boiling for animated elements of characters etc. https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index.php?id=lesson-tradigital-animation-advanced-repeat-i...

Re: Introduction to a Random OpticalFlowDeform FX

hmmm, this might be a useful alternative method for creating pseudo boil. I'll check it out properly later.

Re: how to get transform tool to *not* effect adjacent frames before application

It is annoying as hell. I've made myself try and use the onion skinning to try and judge it, but that's not ideal.

Possible bug: Edit guides and image overlaps.

If you have some support images on the desktop and one is hidden, if you have an unhidden one overlapping it in anyway it messes up the edit guidelines option. It seems like it still sees the hidden one.

Re: unwanted transparency

Easiest; I think you could multiply his colour layer a few times, but the watercolour effect would be lost. The other way would be to get a filled white layer and turn the mask on for the water colour layer. Then clear the white layer with that mask on. Then if you need that layer more dense you can...

Just wanted to say I'm still coming back to this and it's very useful when it's needed. So big thanks!

Re: TV Paint on Surface Pro X

From what I can see with a quick google, tvpaint 32bit should work fine. The 64bit version of it requires a separate ARM64 build of the software - which I don't believe is available.

User Profile

Hi, I tend to move workstations a lot and I find I spend a good 10 mins getting my shortcuts loaded in, my panels, my preferred colour scheme for the display ;) and my rooms set up. What would be awesome is if you could save all your preferences and custom panels to one User Profile file. This way I...

Re: Library features.

Yes, would still love this :'( If you have some technical developers at your studio however, I think you should be able to import an entire library with a one button script. Still much easier for me to put model sheets on animated custom brushs per character, on embedded custom panels included in y...

Re: Library features.

You can copy and paste folders from the library btw, but it should be easier than that to make the library live up to it's true potential.
