Re: Keystrokes for android version

I thought about it - but adding a keyboard to the mix would defeat the purpose of running TVPaint on a phone

Re: Zoom limitation for sanity

Though there is something about having a hard limit (TVP won't zoom beyond x) that I like for reasons of creative flow - a little bit like apps that don't have an Undo option for conceptual reasons. i see what you mean and i can relate. though the flip side is yet another little setting switch that...

Re: Zoom limitation for sanity

no, i don't see a need for this. though i recognize that situation (been there. :P ) what i recommend for you is opening an extra view window (shortcut=m) at 100% so you can see what you are doing at normal resolution Something to look into - thanks. I tend to work on smaller surfaces so screen spa...

Re: Zoom limitation for sanity

No. Don't you notice by the sheer size of the pixels? Yes that is how I eventually snap out of it. But clearly, I am getting too absorbed in the process to continually differentiate between enough zoom and too much zoom for the task at hand - both of which might have large pixel sizes. I'll adapt e...

Zoom limitation for sanity

I have a bad habit of zooming in too much and then unconsciously trying to make sure that my animation looks smooth enough at 400%. Sometimes I'll spend hours making it work at that level of zoom, only to find out it never mattered at all at 100%. Of course I should have more discipline and just rem...

Keystrokes for android version

Hi all, I've got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and I'm trying to see if I can work on such a small screen. It would be amazing to have TVPaint in my pocket! It's more or less acceptable for quick sketches and if you generally keep most of the panels hidden. However the one thing I find hard to...

And only after posting that did I notice you are literally tipping your own hat in your avatar photo. Strange!

Re: Animated paper textures

+1. I needed this for my last film and used this workaround: paint any 3rd frame only, then rotate the paper 30°, paint first unpainted frames, rotate 60°, paint anything left. This was good enough to create the illusion of unlimited paper. I tip my hat to you - I don't know if I could work like th...

Animated paper textures

Hi all :) Is there any concept or plan animated papers in TVPaint? By this I mean that instead of loading a single paper to be blended with my brush regardless of frame, I would load a sequence of papers. Perhaps the sequence was created by shooting a stack of paper under camera, or perhaps I did it...

Re: can't run TVP 10.5 on mojave

Is your version Standard or Pro? mine is tvp pro 10.5.7 on mac :) i removed and reinstalled it as first, unfortunately, can't launching :( I may have spoken too soon  As JeremyN has said, Mojave still supports 32-bit so your issue is probably something else. Still, you may want to double chec...

Re: can't run TVP 10.5 on mojave

Hello ! Standard is 32-bit and I believe that Apple no longer supports 32-bit apps as of Mojave In fact, 32-bits apps are still working on Mojave but should stop on the next MacOS (10.15) which will come next year. I did some test and the standard version of TVPaint 11.0.8 in 32bits is working on M...

Re: can't run TVP 10.5 on mojave

Is your version Standard or Pro? Standard is 32-bit and I believe that Apple no longer supports 32-bit apps as of Mojave: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436 I think as it stands only TVPaint Professional 64-bit would run on Mojave. So upgrading to TVP 11 Standard would probably not help but up...

Re: tv_restorebrush "animinvert" bug

Be sure you use tv_BrushRestore NOT tv_RestoreBrush. ( I only work in TVPaint Pro 11 64 bit so I can't really test if there is a difference in 32 bit or standard but I think the optional command tv_RestoreBrush may be handled differently in the 32 and 64 versions or the standard and Pro versions.) ...

Future of 32-bit version on Mac

Many of you probably know that Apple has announced that High Sierra is most likely their last OS to support 32-bit applications on Mac. See here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436 I am wondering whether TVPaint has a plan for this transition. I have always used Standard because it suits my ne...

Re: tv_restorebrush "animinvert" bug

Could be related: http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=11817 Can't decide which board this belongs in (George or technical) but I want to make sure the right people are reading it. I'm encountering problems in George that may point to larger, undocumented differences between 64-bit and 32-b...
