Re: Mistakes in the user guide

I really hate to be a bother about this , but even apart from the important issues Sven brought up , the User Manual still needs some attention to be more user friendly and not confuse new users. Some of these user friendly fixes should not be too difficult to implement. Just one example : I sent a ...

Re: Movie export on Windows

OH ... wait now ... I just thought of something else: you're not still sending out TVPaint software installer disc with 11.0.0 - 11.0.2 on it are you ? If the student installed a version earlier than 11.0.3 is that the reason for no .MOV export option on Windows ? Yes, that's it. With the last upda...

Movie export on Windows

UPDATE: I'm sorry, I broke my own rule and did not do a search of the forum before I posted the questions from the student. Now, however, I did find a post from Elodie confirming: "TVPaint Version 11.0.3 allows you to export in AVI and MOV, on 32 and 64 bit, on Windows , Mac and Linux." I would exp...

Re: Instance and Keyframer questions

me try to illustrate: Say I have a 12 frame character walk cycle. I want my character to walk across the screen for 180 frames. Am I correct to say that if I use the Keyframer, I am going to have to deal with 180 individual frames (in case of touch ups) as opposed to my initial 12? This also implie...

Re: Importing movie files into TvPaint

Truth is it was automatically set to 32 fps on the AE and Quicktime player, I just worked with it. I've worked on 24 and 32 on many projects, I was told that anything in between the two was irregular though everyone has their opinions of what's best. No, sorry, but it's not an "opinion" ... I can a...

Re: "Gigglebug" iPad app - made with TVPaint

This was very enjoyable to watch, Benjamin. I like that you are doing this series of behind-the-scenes of projects made with TVPaint. It's fascinating to see the work flow of different studios and individuals using TVPaint and I think it is very good promotion of the software. Good work.

Re: auto paint

I recently found out the auto paint in the plugin G'MIC for Krita/Gimp. Basically , it randomly colorizes any enclosed area and put the colors on a separate layer. This could be used along side with the color replacement tool already present in TVP. No more frame by frame coloring....one click done...
