Re: Multiplane camera resolution

Thank you very much! It's as I thought then. And it's a very long zoom. I'd better get ready for lots of cups of tea as things render. But maybe try this solution, of breaking it up into sections (that will seamlessly hook up) so that if you're doing a very long zoom (400% - 500% , 800%, whatever i...

Re: Multiplane camera resolution

Hi folks Sorry for another newbie question, you have been very patient with me. I'm doing my first multiplane camera move and have mocked it up with draft scribbles. It's a zoom out from a detail far in the distance to a much wider landscape. So that (non-moving) detail starts full screen even thou...

Re: Gouache Brushes

Thanks everyone for your answers. im still trying out Tvpaint and right now i love it even more then Photoshop. Inky (Rachael) Here are the watercolor brushes I had mentioned in my previous post: https://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2663 The one labeled "Thick" reminds me of how gouache b...

Re: Warp on just one frame

Personally, I really think its time to release a serious enhancement to the GEORGE ARAP Warp command set, and let scripters build more complex Warp mode functionality. ARAP Warp (still in its original version THREE YEARS LATER) continues to be only a partly realized tool. Yes. This is a potentially...

More efficient organization of Custom Panels

Does anyone else have this problem ? -- If you are like me , you've accumulated dozens or hundreds of Custom Panels . I have over 100 in my Custom Panels list. The list of my custom panels in the Custom Panels menu are listed in alphabetical order. However, most of these Custom Panels are stored in ...

Re: Motion amplifiers - extend warp tools

+1 This would really make the Warp tool so much more useful . For my animation I usually prefer drawing everything frame by frame like traditional pencil on paper animation , BUT I can see using this for adding motion to animatics and also for selectively using it to animate certain types of action...

Re: Gouache Brushes

I'm trying to visualize the way gouache blends vs watercolor. It's more opaque, right? Yes, that will be the main thing to keep in mind ... gouache is an opaque watercolor pigment vs. transparent watercolor (which is what we usually think of when we use the word "watercolor" , thin, transparent was...

Can you upload some examples of artwork (even just brush stroke samples) showing the kind of brush strokes you want ?

Open image files in TVPaint when docked

A small thing , but I think this would improve the behavior of TVPaint and the user experience. This request is about eliminating "extra clicks". I want to use TVPaint for all my image editing /drawing/painting functions , so I changed the preferences on my Mac so that all .jpg, .png , .tiff , etc. ...

Re: Thundercats Roar

I've heard of a CalArts Style in the 90's, and it was completely different from this one. I think the mechanism works like this: for whatever reason, different shows feature very similar styles at any point in time. At any given time, several CalArts alumni work on some of these shows. Correlation ...

Line Colorize Enhanced - how does it work ?

This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-6mnirDBbc shows a quick demonstration of what the new feature Line Colorize Enhanced FX does , but a more detailed video tutorial (or a new page added to the User Manual) on how to set the parameters (the Color Sets - Dark - to - Light ) would be helpful...

Re: Thundercats Roar

Yes, and I'm saying to you again, it's a false , made up thing from people with too much time on their hands. It is assuming that the school consciously teaches a particular "style" and all students must rigidly follow it. Now, it is certainly true that fads for certain types of films or certain typ...

Re: boiling

I still can't get Repeat Images - Random to work . I think there is a bug. Can a TVPaint developer confirm ? Example: I have 6 tracebacks that I'd like to expose at random for a 'shimmering' (boiling) effect instead of a dead hold. I have 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 . I created 72 exposures following the last...

Re: Mac OS High Sierra (update 15/03/2018)

in a certain order and I think this order should be respected because it seems to work on MacOS High Sierra too (I'm not sure about that). First, before opening TVPaint or installing it, you must install Safenet driver version 7.4.2, you can find them here: https://sentinelcustomer.gemalto.com/sent...
