Re: pencilbrush that behaves like real pencil

Wow Meslin, Thanks for honoring my pencil like this. What you did with it is absolutely fabulous!!! Myself I finetuned the pencil already before I saw your post. I made it a bit more grainy so it looks a bit more like pencil too. Made a HB and a 3B pencil. I named the thicker pencils "fat", because ...

pencilbrush that behaves like real pencil

As a follow up on a feature request I created this brush as a test. So why not share it.
A brush that behaves, as close as I can get, like a real pencil.

Re: link more than one feature to the brushsettings

As promised here a brush that behaves (as much as possible) like a real pencil. I will post it too on the contents sharing section.

Re: link more than one feature to the brushsettings

Yes Meslin, you are right. I just realised myself too that neonnoodle misunderstood the request. Your proposition is definitely one to look into and I'm sure I'll get results out of it. When I have the time I will do some tests on it and I'll post the result here as soon as I find something pleasing...

Re: link more than one feature to the brushsettings

You can already do this to your heart's content. Each brush parameter is independent. You can have pressure/azimuth ("tilt")/speed etc. affect multiple parameters at once. I have many custom brushes for pencils that do just what you are looking for. :D Is this something from a later version then? I...

link more than one feature to the brushsettings

to create more realistic brushes it would be nice to be able to link i.e. size to both pressure and altitude. This is the way a real pencil behaves. When you draw more with the point the size gets smaller than when you draw with the side. But then when you put more pressure on the point it increases...

Re: arrows

Thanks Slowtiger. This is exactly what I was searching for. I knew it was possible somehow. A petty the arrows always start with the arrowhead, but that's something I can live with.

Peter, how do you do these technical arrows? Is this something from a later version? I am still on 9.5.

Re: arrows

Thanks for thinking along. I tried this already, but for some reason this didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong. If you can make this work please let me know. That would be a great help.

Re: arrows

because the length of the line is always different. The curves of the lines are always different. I know it is possible to create a gazillion of different arrows but at the end you loose a lot of time picking the right one and then scale and deform it to make it fit the purpose. It is just not pract...

arrows

For storyboarding I often need to draw arrows. Untill now I haven't found a way to draw arrows in TVPaint (I am still on 9.5...so if this is present on the current version it becomes time for me to upgrade) Is there a script existing in TVPaint that ads an arrowhead at the end of a line? If not this...

undo history per instance

don't know if it is feasable. Might ask too much resources from your pc. But having your history saved per instance might be a big timesaver while animating. This means that instead of having one history line, you have a history line saved per instance. Just an idea that popped up while working...

Re: timeline notes in video output

thanks Paul for the suggestion. I was already looking onto this option. Is the screencam soft you're talking about capturing on 24 frames a second? I already tried another one which was not able to do this.

timeline notes in video output

I am currently prepping an animation in 2D using TVP to have it animated in 3D back in China. To communicate easily it would be handy to have the timeline notes visible in the QT output we send to them as reference for the animation we want. This way they see my thumbnail animation of all the extrem...

Re: render problem under high resolution

/!\ Disable "key image" (beelden) !! /!\ makes no difference I vaguely remember that QT works best (if at all) with dimensions which are muliples of 16 (or 32). The dimensions are multiplies of 16. So it's not the problem in this case. AVI works better, so this will be my workaround for this proble...

Re: render problem under high resolution

the reason to go quicktime is just for a quick animation test, because within TVP the proxy sometimes skips frames when replaying (don't know if this explanation is technically correct, but I suppose you get what I mean). Especially on fast animation on ones it is hard to judge animation. It looks l...
