Re: Export Error: PNG Image Space Size Larger than Usual

Just did, like I said it's makes the image blurry. I can't get the same effect how it is when pixel aspect ratio is checked to be sharp. And it's a huge difference too. Especially when the finalize canvas is 4K Plus. Original image and "exported" image both have a ratio equal to a square pixel... I...

Re: I made a tool to help you estimate animation costs

You're welcome ! Again, this idea is great and despite the "lack" of precision, results are quite acurate, so congratulations and keep up the good job !

Re: Question about Storyboarding in TVPaint Standard

Ampy has given the good answer !

In a nutshell : both editions can make storyboards, but the standard edition is very limited (no camera, no text field (limited to thumbail view), no possibilty to read storyboard as an animatic, no publishing, no soundtracks).

Re: How do I stretch the interface across a 2nd display?

You can also activate drawers but remove the pin, so drawers will pop only if you put your cursor nearby.

Re: How do I stretch the interface across a 2nd display?

I'm not 100% to understand, but if so, I think you just have to go to Edit > Preferences > Display tab > and uncheck the drawers. So, you'll be free to place your panels anywhere.

Re: How do I stretch the interface across a 2nd display?

For some odd reason, the panels still want to snap back up to the top screen.
What do you mean by "snap back". Do you mean it stays to the top screen when you quit / start TVPaint ? Or do you mean it cannot be stretched accross 2 screens ?
Maybe you could record a video with your phone ?

Re: How do I stretch the interface across a 2nd display?

You have to go to System Preferences > Mission Control > Uncheck "Displays have separate Spaces". Then restart your Mac.

Peter please send me an email, I think this conversation should be private if we talk about installing process and activation codes :)

Re: activate unix version

Schwarzagrau is right : trial version cannot be unlocked. You must download the installer with your lock / unlock code from that link : https://www.tvpaint.com/update

Re: render stopping issue

I know it's kind of a side question, but from the two options I ended up using most instead, which one would you recommend: QuickTime mov with Aniamtion compression, or FFmpeg? FFmpeg mode uses a Library that is not Apple made, but it gets updated quite often. It rather gives a good compromise betw...

Re: I made a tool to help you estimate animation costs

I think a few things should be improved, but the basics are good and interesting. For example : • costs won't be the same if it's 2D cut-out, 2D traditional, 3D or stop motion • What level of polish and detail will you do? Low, medium, high are too subjective, there might be something more obvious, ...

Uncheck "pixel aspect ratio" when you export.
