Re: Multiply layer MERGE ALL
Hm, you're right, David, I tested it just then and the custom brush actually doesn't pick up the content of multiplied layers, though I could have sworn that I have used this method successfully in the past. Maybe it worked in a previous version? Or maybe it hadn't been multiply mode layers but some...

Re: Multiply layer MERGE ALL
Another thing you can do is, instead of merging the layers, to create a new empty layer, make a custom brush out of the to-be-merged layers and press "stamp in place" on that new empty layer. Then I believe you get what you see. If you want to keep your project small and tidy, you then have to get r...

Re: Storyboard/Animatic Inquiry
Maybe it can be kept even less complex. I just checked, and actually the project panel displays not necessarily the first frame of each clip, but the respective one that you were at when changing from clip to project view. When scrolling over the clip, it will also always return to that very frame. ...

Re: Storyboard/Animatic Inquiry
It's a nice idea, but which frame of the previous or following scenes would be displayed with the light table if there are more than one in each clip?

Re: more logic behaviour when deleting the first frame(s) of a layer
I don't object, but wouldn't it be quite easy to just split the layer, then delete the layer containing the first unwanted frames?

Re: Accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut that turned all of the thumbnails black
..and if so, you just need to hit Shift B again to get a transparent background, and yet again to get back to your white background colour, one should maybe add.

Re: I really wish animation would be treated the same as live action in the US
I agree with Paul. Also, while I might have agreed with your wish some time ago, the current situation of live action movies doesn't really call for envy, I think. My perception of US cinema is probably a bit distorted, since I guess that about as few independent American films make it to theatrical...

Re: problems with sound
If you mean by 1. that you copy the image layer you get after importing a video file with sound into one project and the paste said image layer into another project, you lose the sound track because image and sound are no longer connected once imported into TVPaint. If there's a way to copy sound fr...

Re: Keyboard Shortcut
I'm on mac where the right click keyboard shortcut is to hold down ctrl, whereas on windows it's hold down shift and press F10 or something of the sort- too long ago to be sure of that, sorry. I'm pretty sure though that your Wacom pen's buttons can have a right click function assigned to it and I'm...

Re: Trouble applying FX stack to CTG layer
You might have to make your CTG layer an animation layer before effects can be applied. As long as it's a CTG layer, it relates to the line art of another layer, and in the same line that you cannot use any tools other than the squiggle and erase on it, you probably cannot use effects, actually it's...

Re: Double sound playing
Maybe you loaded a sound track into the project tab when you only want it in the clip tab. You can check by clicking on the sound wave icon in your project tab and delete what you find there. I'm only guessing, but I just had a double soundtrack and removing one from the project tab fixed it.
