Re: Quicktime export option missing in TVP 11 Pro

It's not about the computer - they're all 64 bit nowadays - it's about the version of TVP you've installed. You can check your version in the "about TVP" window. If you go on TVP's update website, you have the choice to download the 32bit version of your licence as well, and you can install it on th...

Re: Quicktime export option missing in TVP 11 Pro

Using the (old) Quicktime framework only works in 32bit versions of TVP.

Re: Two versions - two dongles

If you buy a v11 licence, your old dongle will continue to work, and there's no need to uninstall v10: it will still work.

Re: rendering split scenes - does not render until Mark Out point

This is something which happens in normal export, too (being in clip view). An Out mark somewhere behind the last frames of all layers is plainly ignored, if I want a video exactly that long I need to extend any one layer to that mark, even with an empty exposure.

Yes, I think this should be fixed.

Re: Instance export

I only know of a hack which only works as long as you only have one layer of animation: duplicate that layer, select all frames, hit "erase 1 exposure" repeatedly until you only have instances left. Export.

Re: Non-destructive fade

Not in this case, I think, because the opacity setting is already there. Each frame has to be calculated, it makes no difference if all with the same opacity, or if from a table with different opacity values for each frame.

Non-destructive fade

There's a very useful function in all music sequencer software which is called MIDI draw, or draw edit, or something similar. It also exists in video editing software, for sound volume and panorama fades. Today it occured to me that it could be very useful in TVP, too. fade_tvp.PNG Imagine a layer l...

Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint

I think it might come from vimeo's change of their TOS. As I found out just recently, if I want to make my videos downloadable, I have to pay for my account. Maybe they set all free accounts to "not downloadable".

Re: Using auto paint for auto erase

Ah! That's great. I assume the numbers in that field correspond to the number of keys?

May I suggest to rename it to "length", because Size is used for Brush size everywhere else.

Now if anyone could also explain why the inverting of keys didn't work.

Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint

Because Vimeo changed its embedding code, I think it now needs HTML5, not Flash.

Re: Using auto paint for auto erase

Ah! I think I understand now. You want a line which grows up to a certain length, then keeps that length while continues to grow, like a crawling snake. In TVP11 it should work - in theory. You can invert all keys of the FX (caution - don't select all first - just inverse! (this is a bit confusing))...

Maybe I don't understand, but what about just copy&paste the last frames and reverse them?

Re: auto paint

Ah yes, an option for smooth/feathered fill borders would be very nice. I can even think of an option where we could use a brush for this. Brush must exist as a named entity, so it can be selected. Needs controls for size and a positive/negative offset from the fill's outline. Fill should always ext...
